Benny Friesen and Sherrilee Friesen offer compassionate, faith-centered counseling as certified members of the American Association of Christian Counselors. While they are not Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs), they bring extensive training and a strong Christian and biblical counseling perspective to guide and encourage individuals and couples.
They provide biblically grounded support to men and women facing challenges such as addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, marital difficulties, and other life struggles—helping individuals grow, flourish, and discover lasting fulfillment and purpose through restored relationships with God, self, and others.

I am a Christian counselor with a passion for helping people grow in every area of life. First and foremost, I am a devoted husband and father to three energetic boys, and I find my greatest joy in faith and family. I seek to lead with empathy, integrity, and a deep commitment to lifelong learning.
With more than 20 years of experience, I bring a unique blend of practical insight and biblical wisdom to my work. I walk alongside individuals and families with care and compassion, offering guidance that points toward hope and healing.
Whether I am supporting someone through personal challenges, strengthening their walk with Christ, or helping them discover their God-given potential, my heart is to equip others to thrive. Grounded in Scripture and committed to lifelong growth, I aim to be a trusted guide who helps people find healing and lasting transformation.

About Sherrilee
I am committed to providing compassionate, faith-based counseling that fosters hope, healing, and personal growth. My life has been richly blessed by a loving Christian husband who supports me through every season, and by three sons who continue to bring joy and purpose to my life.
My faith in Jesus Christ has shaped who I am today. Through His salvation and healing, I have experienced what it means to be deeply loved and restored. That same love and compassion guide my work and inspire me to create a safe, supportive space for others.
I have a heart for those who may feel alone, discouraged, or uncertain, and my desire is to offer hope and encouragement. In every counseling relationship, I seek to reflect God’s love and to remind each person of their worth and God-given potential.

At We Listen and Care, Benny and Sherrilee Friesen offer Christ-centered counseling that supports emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being. As a husband-and-wife team, we bring both professional insight and heartfelt compassion to those walking through life’s challenges.
We provide in-person and on-line sessions, creating a flexible and safe environment for individuals seeking guidance and support. Our work focuses on helping men and women navigate issues such as addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, marital conflict, grief, and other personal struggles. Each session is approached with understanding, respect, and a commitment to helping clients move toward healing and lasting change.
Our approach is grounded in biblical truth and informed by practical counseling principles. While we are not licensed therapists, our training and experience in biblical counseling allow us to walk alongside individuals with wisdom, care, and spiritual discernment. We believe that true healing comes from both compassionate listening and the transformative power of God’s Word.
